About Us

Main Street Mercantile is an extension of Corazón Sterling, a boutique located at 224 South Main Street featuring handmade jewelry from Taxco Mexico. We co-hosted our first artisan market in the summer of 2023 as part of The Suites at 224. From the very first event, we were astonished by the abundance of local talent that we discovered. So when a space became available at 226 South Main, we immediately thought of all the local makers and artists that we had connected with at our artisan markets and other events that we had attended as a vendor. The Mercantile was first pitched as a sort of "permanent artisan market" and the idea took root and grew into something that has become very close to our hearts. 

So while Corazon Sterling began as a way to support artisans in the small, faraway town of Taxco, Mexico, Main Street Mercantile is how we can do so locally. We believe in these local creatives and want to support them by displaying their products in a beautiful, permanent setting! Main Street Mercantile positions their work alongside globally crafted items for a unique shopping experience that supports small businesses both near and far.
